FANAR Cultural Tour & Mosque Visit

FANAR (the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center) is the spiral-topped building you've spotted from Souq Waqif a dozen times, and it's built specifically to welcome visitors inside. Free guided tours cover the mosque, the center's exhibitions on Islamic art and calligraphy, and end with Arabic coffee and a short video, with staff happy to field genuine questions about faith and daily life in Qatar. It also runs ongoing Arabic language and calligraphy courses if a single visit isn't enough.
