Doha With Kids

Doha handles kids well — the theme parks are mostly indoor and air-conditioned, the beaches are calm, and distances are short. This keeps each day to two main stops so there's room for a nap or a swim.

Best for: Families with school-age childrenPace: Two anchored activities a day, with pool or park time built in

Day 1 · Indoor, out of the heat

  1. Morning

    Angry Birds World theme park

Things to do · Doha Festival City

A fully indoor theme park built around the Angry Birds characters — rides scaled for younger kids, plus a soft-play area for the smallest ones.

  2. Afternoon

    Doha Quest & KidZania

Things to do · Msheireb / Aspire Zone

Next door in the same mall complex: a role-play city where kids run the shops, fire trucks and TV studio. Easily half a day on its own.

Day 2 · Animals and the beach

  1. Morning

Al Khor Family Park & Zoo

Things to do · Al Khor

A large family park north of the city with a small zoo, rides and shaded picnic lawns — go early before it warms up.

  2. Afternoon

Katara beach & cultural village day

Things to do · Katara Cultural Village

A calm public beach at Katara with a cultural village behind it — swimming, then ice cream and a wander through the amphitheatre and galleries.
