Simaisma Beach

Simaisma Beach is about a 30-minute drive north of Doha, roughly 40km up the coast, and gets a fraction of the crowd Katara does on a weekend. The main draw is the water itself — shallow and calm enough that it's a genuine option for families with younger kids — plus stretches of soft sand with less development around them than the beaches closer to the city. There isn't the same run of restaurants or rental concessions as Katara or Al Wakrah, so it suits people bringing their own setup for the day over those wanting amenities on-site.
