Al Wakrah Beach

Al Wakrah Beach sits about 25–30 km south of central Doha via the Ras Abu Abboud Expressway, near Souq Al Wakrah. It's built for families rather than lounging in style: gazebos and umbrellas for shade, a children's playground, a volleyball court, a football pitch, barbecue areas, and public restrooms and showers. The water is shallow and calm, though rocky in places, so it's worth keeping an eye on younger kids. A promenade behind the beach carries a row of restaurants and cafés for after the swim.
