Fuwairit Beach

Fuwairit is a free, open-access public beach on Qatar's northern coast, popular for overnight camping, swimming and kitesurfing thanks to steady winds. There are essentially no facilities here — no restrooms, no shops, no shade — so visitors need to bring their own water, food and sun cover, and a 4WD helps for the final gravel stretch off the main road. Part of the beach closes seasonally (roughly April to August) to protect nesting hawksbill turtles, though a separate section beyond the rocky area stays open year-round.
