Doha Marine Sports Club (Katara)

Originally founded as Doha Sailing Club in 1956, this Qatar Olympic Committee-affiliated club at Katara Beach has grown into a full marine sports hub covering sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, kiteboarding and jet skiing. It runs weekend beginner lessons and an annual membership (around QAR 2,000) that gives free access to most of the sailboats and gear, which is unusually good value compared to hotel or private-operator rentals. It also hosts local jet-ski, traditional sailing and traditional diving races through the year.
