Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Education City
October 8, 2026 – November 7, 2026

Mathaf is making what it hopes will be the world's largest bio-based, community-built papier-mâché sculpture, shaped from shredded palm fibre and the museum's old catalogues, and it wants tens of thousands of hands from across Qatar on it. Hour-long sessions run every Thursday and Saturday at 2pm and 3pm until 7 November, in English and Arabic, at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Education City. It's free, but registration is mandatory: sign up on Qatar Museums' Qom'a registration form. Mathaf is closed on Mondays.
