Aspire Park is a genuinely large, free green space around Khalifa Stadium, with a lake loop, a running/cycling track, and plenty of shade for a picnic. The old Doha Zoo that once sat on the same grounds closed in 2012 for redevelopment and has not reopened — its animals moved to Al Khor Family Park & Zoo in 2016. A new Doha Safari Park is under construction nearby but isn't open to the public yet, so treat this listing as Aspire Park only.
