Al Wakrah Heritage Village

Souq Al Wakra opened on Al Wakra's seafront in 2014, with the adjoining Old Souq quarter inaugurated in 2016 across roughly 623,765 square meters and around 415 reconstructed buildings styled after traditional Qatari courtyard homes. It sits along a 3-kilometer stretch of corniche, mixing mud-toned facades and wooden lattice doors with spice, perfume, and handicraft stalls — a modern recreation rather than surviving original fabric.
