Al Koot Fort

Built in 1880 as a police post and later used as a jail, the fort's square layout with its mismatched round-and-rectangular towers once housed displays of traditional Qatari fishing gear and handicrafts. It has been closed to the public for an extended period — visitors currently get the exterior and the photo op from the adjacent square, not the interior.
