Qatar's camel-racing season opens with a series of local meets, and this second one runs as consecutive mornings of races across the age categories (from young Haqiq camels up to Zamul), on the Al-Shahaniya and Labeesir tracks. Camels carry robot jockeys while owners follow alongside in cars. Visit Qatar lists it as free to watch. Races start early, so plan to be there in the morning, roughly an hour's drive west of Doha.
