Qatar Marine Festival

Organized around five themes spanning culture, sport, and environment, the festival's centerpiece is a working fleet of more than seventy traditionally built dhows moored along Katara's beach, alongside pearl-diving and net-weaving demonstrations. The closing fireworks show is timed to go off directly over the anchored boats.
