The route starts and finishes at Hotel Park in West Bay, following the Corniche — the same stretch that's worth an early-morning walk any day of the year, just closed to traffic and full of runners for this one. Races run from the full 42km and a 42km relay for teams of four, through 21km, 10km and 5km, down to a Family Run for an adult with one or two children aged 4 to 10. Registration is mandatory for every runner, through the official registration site; watching from the route needs none.

Getting there
Every race starts and finishes at Hotel Park in Al Dafna, West Bay, and the route follows the Doha Corniche. Before race day you must collect your timing chip, race number and T-shirt in person on the organiser's set collection days. Those dates, and race start times, haven't been published yet; the organiser sends all race information by email, nothing by post.
What to expect
Race day is Friday 15 January 2027, the marathon's 15th edition. Categories and entry fees: 42 km QAR 295 (18+), 42 km relay for four runners QAR 850 (18+), 21 km QAR 270 (16+), 10 km QAR 220 (14+), 5 km QAR 180 (10+), and a Family Run for one adult with one or two children aged 4 to 10 (QAR 150 or QAR 200). As of 14 October 2026 the 10 km, 5 km and Family Run were sold out. The races are chip-timed, there's water every 3 km, bag drop is free, and finishers get water, snacks and a medal.
Good to know
- Do I need to register?
- Yes. Registration is mandatory and paid for every runner, through the official registration page at register.dohamarathonooredoo.com. Entries close when a race sells out or one week before the event, whichever comes first.
- Is there a group discount?
- Yes. Registering four or more runners in one order, in any mix of races, takes 25% off the total. For groups of more than 20, email the organiser, who will send a payment link.
- Can I get a refund if I can't run?
- No. The organiser's terms say registration fees are non-refundable, even if you can't take part.
- Can runners with disabilities take part?
- Yes. Runners with disabilities can enter every race up to 21 km, with special prizes. Contact the organiser by email to register.
- Can I run with headphones?
- The organiser strongly discourages it, so you can hear marshals and stay aware of what's around you on the course.
