Fire Station: Artist in Residence

This decommissioned Doha fire station was slated for demolition before Qatar Museums converted it into a nine-month artist residency program with studios, a fabrication lab, and rotating exhibition spaces. Entry to the gallery floors is free, and you'll usually find working studios open to view alongside a well-stocked art supply shop and an on-site cafe. It's a smaller stop than the big museums, best paired with a coffee and a slower wander through whatever exhibition is up.
